LARRY R. MUSICK, age 78, of Jefferson City, TN passed away suddenly on May 19, 2024. He was a prominent businessman, farmer, and an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Jefferson City. Larry graduated from Carson-Newman College in 1967, after meeting his future wife in geology class. Larry was a forty year employee and co-owner of Berkline Furniture Company. He took great pride in the company and the employees which he knew by name. In retirement he enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife, fishing the Obey River, keeping a beautiful farm, and most of all loving his friends and family. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Virgie Musick; son, James Robert “Rob” Musick; granddaughter, Katie Musick; nephew, Cody Musick; brother, Dean Musick; sisters, Lee Coble (Alfred) and Carol Greany (Bill). Larry is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Evelyn “Mev” Musick; son, Matthew Musick; daughter and son-in-law, Sally and Denny Gann; grandchildren, Olivia Musick, Ava Breeden (Logan), Mason Gann (Shayna); brothers, Sam Musick (Sara), Trent Musick (Nancy); sisters, Faye Marquez, Linda Adams (Doug); several nieces and nephews; long time friends, Jay Moser, Walter Hammer and Larry Rimell. The family would like to thank first responders and paramedics for their care and determination; also Dr. Dennis Duck. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dr. Glenda Hollingshead officiating.
