Larry W Elder

LARRY W. ELDER, age 78 of Dandridge, TN passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023, following an extended illness.  He was a faithful and active member of the French Broad Church of the Brethren where he served as song leader and many other ministries of the church.  He had a strong Christian faith and loved serving his God and church.  Larry was a retired mechanical engineer for TVA where he worked in the design of several fossil and nuclear fuel plants.  He will be remembered as a kindhearted gentleman and was well respected by all that knew him and will be greatly missed.   He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 45 years, Margaret Ann “Marti” Denton Elder and is survived by his brother, David (Pam) Elder; brother-in-law, Bill Stipes, nieces, Diane Quisenberry and Haley Elder; nephews, David (Sharon) Denton, Clint Elder, and Michael (Stacy) Stipes; great-nephews, Luke (Katlyn) Quisenberry and Dustin (Robin) Mantooth; Great-great nephew, Mitchell Mantooth.  Graveside funeral services will be held, Thursday, October 19, 2023, 2:00pm at Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. Justin Breeden officiating.
