Larry Canada

LARRY CANADA, age 67 of Dandridge, TN passed away Friday, November 10, 2017 at Select Specialty North Hospital, Knoxville, TN. Larry was born in Williamson, West Virginia to Wade and Virginia (Jean) Canada and lived most of his life in Ragland, WV. After graduating from Buich High School, he served with the U.S. Army in Korea. Returning home he worked as a Coordinator for Logan-Mingo Mental Health Center. Larry’s green thumb was evident in the gardens and beautiful flowers he grew. He also loved reading and cooking. He was preceded in death by his father, Wade Canada in 2009. Survivors include his mother, Virginia Canada; brothers, Stonie, Glen Dale, Wade Jr., Gary, Leslie (Butter); sisters, Loretta, Christine and Shirley. Larry was blessed to be the recipient of a donated liver in 1999 and a kidney in 2014. In honoring him please consider being an organ donor. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 13, 2017, 7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Haun officiating. Interment graveside services will be held, Tuesday 11:00am at Swanns Chapel Cemetery.
