Lanc Alan Godwin

Lanc Godwin age 50 of Powell, and formerly of Jefferson City, passed away early Saturday morning, April 16, 2016 at his residence. He was of the Methodist faith. He is preceded in death by his parents: Eugene (Chicken) and Ruth Dupes Godwin, his sister: Leeanne Godwin. Lanc was a talented artist and left a legacy of his art work in different mediums. He leaves behind his life partner, Nancy Sanders; his sister and brother-in-law: Kim Godwin and Michael Casey. Niece and nephew-in-law: Shiloh Casey and Abraham Barahona; and his great-nieces Morgan and Katherine Wiles. Lanc also leaves his fur babies: Gonzo, Pooh, Daphne, Little Dude, and Trick, many friends and other family who will miss him terribly. Chris and Candy Durman, his lifelong friends, will host a gathering at Hampton Hall Farm, 238 Old Andrew Johnson Hwy, Jefferson City at 6:00pm on Monday, April 18, 2016. Graveside inurnment will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Westview Cemetery with eulogy given by family and friends. Family request in lieu of flowers, memorial be made to the ASPCA.
