Kent Calfee

KENT CALFEE, age 64, of Dandridge, TN, went home to be with the Lord and celebrate his birthday Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004. He was the former owner of the Calfee Food Market of White Pine and was retired from Swaggerty's Sausage Co. of Kodak. He was a member of White Pine First United Methodist Church and attended Northview Church of God of Kodak. Kent was an avid fisherman and sportsman. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and ruby Calfee and siste, Pat Calfee Mills. He is survived by his devoted wife, Mildred Calfee, who loved him with a special love; sons, Kellan and Olga Calfee of White Pine and Kirk and Debbie Calfee of Morganton, NC; daughter, Kitty Phillips of Maryville and Mary and David Guy of Dandridge; grandchildren, Jesse "Rabbit" Calfee, Josh, Jordan and Krista Phillips, Michael Harbin and Jessica and Jason Calfee; special aunt, Alpha Fisher; special firneds, Noal and Connie Yarbrough, Dot at Cowboy's, Sheriff David Davenport and Jo Huskey; all the employees of Swaggerty's Sausage Co.; and his special companion, Brutus. Funeral services will be 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6 at Farrar Dandridge Chapel with the Rev. Dan King and the Rev. Ed Collins officiating. Interment graveside services will be 10 am Saturday, Feb. 7 at the Deep Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday prior to the services at the funeral home.
