Kenneth Ray Smith,

KENNETH RAY SMITH, SR., age 69, of Dandridge, TN and formerly of Duck, NC passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Mountain Home, TN. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a noted commercial fisherman and duck hunting guide. He was instrumental in the organization and founding of the Duck Volunteer Fire Department of Duck, NC, where he served as the departments first fire chief. Kenny was a veteran of the US Navy, member of the Shady Grove United Methodist Church and retired as a construction foreman for Falin Enterprizes of Sevierville.Survived by wife, Loretta Barnett Smith; son, Ken (Amy Jo) Smith Jr.; granddaughter, Cynthia JoAnn Smith; mother, Flora Scarborough Wash; sisters, Judy Cullison, Nancy Scarborough; and his faithful companion, his pet dog Crickett.
