Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a member of Central Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge # 231, a 32th degree Mason, and was retired from Dixie Cement in Knoxville. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Kenneth Hux, Leona and Sam Pettigrew. Survived by wife of 47 years, Darlis Hux; sons and daughters-in-law, Ron and Jeanne Hux, David and Audrea Hux; grandchildren, Shane Hux, Austin Breeding, Malcolm Cantrell, Bryan Chestnut; sisters, Patty and Bobby Baxley, Brenda and Ted Haun, Linda and Dee Miller; in-laws, Bertha and Gerald Miley; several nieces and nephews and numerous friends. There will be a Masonic service at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 11, 2008 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Masonic Lodge # 231 presiding. Funeral service will follow immediately with Reverend T. H. Ferrell and Reverend Bryant Collins officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will meet at 9:15 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2008 at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City to proceed to Sunderland Cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
