Kenneth L. Akers

KENNETH L. AKERS, age 62, of Kodak, TN and formerly of Romulus, MI passed away Wednesday evening, December 2, 2009. He was a retired 20 year employee of General Motors. Preceded in death by his step-father, Virgil Akers. Survived by wife, Linda Lewis Akers; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Kendra Akers of Dearborn, MI; grandchildren, Jared and Camden Akers; mother, Hazel Akers; brother, Keith (Vickie) Akers of Culloka, TN; step-brothers and sisters, Phillip Akers of Eads, TN, Jeri Collet of London, KY, Janie Cena of Corbin, KY and Suzanne Riccobono of New York. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. at the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Clevinger officiating. Family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 prior to the service. Mr. Akers will be returned to Ypsilanti, MI for services Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Janowiak Funeral Home Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service.
