FRANKLIN SEAGLE, age 46 of Kodak, TN passed away Sunday afternoon July 24, 2005 following a sudden illness. She was a popular businesswoman of the Kodak community where she was owner and operator of Hair by Kathy Beauty Salon. Kathy was a member of the French Broad Valley Baptist Church and served on the board of Directors of the Northview Volunteer Fire Dept. A loving mother and daughter and friend to many, she will be sadly missed by all those who counted on her acts of kindness. Preceded in death by her father, John W. Franklin; grandparents, Bruce and Roberta Franklin and John Hodge. Survivors: Sons: Michael J. (April) Seagle and Harold Seagle Jr. Mother: Shelby Hodge Franklin Granddaughter: Ava Elizabeth Seagle Brother: Gary (Jama) Franklin Grandmother: Mary Hodge all of Kodak. Aunts and Uncles: Peggy and Jack Brooks, John and Gail Hodge, Richard & Pat Hodge, Dinky & Steve Burchfield, Evelyn & Bill Hance, Paul & Betty Franklin, Helen Franklin, Betty Ruth and Walter Burl Smelcer; many cousins and friends. Funeral services Tuesday 8:00 PM at French Broad Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Harkleroad and Rev. Billy Stidham officiating. Interment graveside services Wednesday, 11:00 am at Underwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday, 4:00 to 8:00 pm at French Broad Valley Baptist Church prior to services.
