CLAPP, KATHLEEN (KAT) SELLERS – 90, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday evening, October 21, 2014. Kat loved the Lord, her family, and a wide circle of friends. She was formerly a member of City View Baptist Church and Stock Creek Baptist Church in Knoxville and currently a member of First Baptist Church in Dandridge. She was a true servant for the Lord in all she did; she lived and shared his love and in the process, touched so many people in her 90 plus years on this earth. She was an avid volunteer throughout her life, a long-time supporter of church and community activities in Knoxville and Dandridge. She was always ready to serve, particularly with any missions her Sunday School Class at First Baptist – Dandridge undertook, at food pantries, senior citizen projects, devotions at the Jefferson County Nursing Home, at Hills Union Methodist Church, and others too numerous to mention. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; infant son, James Carroll; parents, Carl and Japhina Sellers; sister Bonnie Reid; brothers Delmas, J.P. and L.C. Sellers. Kat is survived by sons, Richard (Eddie) and wife Fay; Phil and wife Jan; and Steve and wife, Karen; sister, Lucille Sellers Rayburn and husband, Homer; and a host of loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Thanks to special friends Ruth Ann Henry, Sarah Hancock and Millie Branner and the staff of Beverly Park Place, Tazewell Pike, Knoxville, TN for their care and compassion during her short stay there. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014 from 5 pm to 7 pm at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge. Additional visitation will be Friday, Oct. 24 at Washburn Baptist Church from 10 am to 11 am; service at 11 am with burial immediately following in Washburn Cemetery, Reverend Randy Epperson and Reverend Cory Hammett officiating.
