KATHLEEN A HILL, age 97, of Dandridge, TN passed away Saturday evening, May 8, 2010 at the Jefferson County Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Lily Rimmer. Preceded in death by her husband, Earl Hill; sister, Louise Rimmer; brothers, Howard, Cecil and Hugh Rimmer; son-in-law, Tom Sams. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Sams; granddaughter, Patti Chambers and husband, Mike; grandson, Joe Sams; great-grandchildren, Brooke and eddie Thomas, Jody Sams, Clarke and Amy Chambers, and Jessica Chambers; great-great-grandchildren, Landon and Keira Thomas; sister,Ona Pearl Denton; brothers, Eugene "Wimp" Rimmer and Franklin Rimmer; several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to acknowledge their appreciation to all her friends and caretakers at the Jefferson County Nursing Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shady Grove United Methodist Church, 1675 Harold Patterson Road, Dandridge, TN 37725. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at the Shady Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Brady officiating. Interment to follow at Dandridge Memorial Gardens.
