Kathleen "Kate" Cahoon

KATHLEEN "KATE" CAHOON, age 80, of Dandridge, TN passed away Friday afternoon, June 26, 2009. She was born December 17, 1928 in Ames, Iowa, the daughter of the late Arthur G. and Pansy Chapman. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and was of the Episcopalian faith. Kate will be remembered for her wit and wisdom and a person who truly enjoyed her family, as she was a great homemaker and excellent cook. An avid reader, she also logged many hours on the computer as a moderator for the online chat for the soap operas, "Guiding Light" and "General Hospital." She was also passionate about her love for animals by her dedicated and tireless support and contributions to many organizations, such as the Elephand Sanctuary and Noah's Arc animal rescue missions. She is survived by her husband, Bill Cahoon; children, Bill, Bob, Carol and Bryan; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A private memorial service celebrating her life will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts may be made in memory of Kate Cahoon to Noah's Arc, P.O. Box 1031, Talbott, TN.
