Karen L. Morrisett

KAREN L. MORRISETT, age 47, of New Market, TN passed away at 8:30 p.m. Monday, June 21, 2010 after a long and courageous battle with lung illness, She was Church of God faith. She loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherwoman. She was formerly employed by Rent-In-House. Preceded in death by father, Arvin Murray; mother, Janie Ruth Holmes; sister, Kathy Ann Murray; grandfather, Henry O?Deil Moody; grandmother, Mary Ruth Jones. She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Mitchell Morrisett; sister, Teresa G. Murray of Bean Station; brother-in-law, Billy R. Beeler of Bean Station; special aunt, Dot Gray of Rutledge; several other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; special caretaker and her family, Cherylene LaFollette and her children, Samantha and David, who were Karen?s Godchildren; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alfred and Lucille Morrisett of Jefferson City. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Rev. Dwight Hensley officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Family and friends will gather at 9:45 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2010 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 10:00 a.m. graveside interment service. The family would like to give a special thanks to Amedisys Hospice and all their staff who were so kind to Karen during her illness.
