Julie Francis Hopkins Knowling

JULIE FRANCIS HOPKINS KNOWLING, born April 8, 1911, passed away November 5, 2008 at Jefferson County Nursing Home in Dandridge, TN. She was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church. Julia was a special lady to all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Blondon Cline and Elmer Knowling; parents, W. A. and Lizzie Hopkins; sisters, Vina Sartain, Anne Roach Cline, Mary Ruth Hopkins; brothers, Thomas, Bill, Henry, Haskel, Glenn and Louis Hopkins. She is survived by one brother, Palmer (Short) Hopkins and wife, Mildred; one sister-in-law, Edith Hopkins; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends, especially the nursing staff at Jefferson County Nursing Home who took such good care of her; also her nephew, Dale Hopkins and her niece, Sarah Smith, who helped care for her. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 2008 at Farrar Funeral Home with Reverend Horace Green officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:45 p.m. Friday, November 7, 2008 at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 1:00 p.m. graveside interment service.
