She was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Otha Carr. Survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Bobby Hubbard of New Market, Wanda and Paul Carpenter of Kingsport, Sylvia and Michael Potter of Morristown; grandchildren, Joey and Rodney Hubbard, Marcus Carpenter, Jennifer Van Meter and Sheree Young; five great grandchildren; sister, Vanda Barbee. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2005 at Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Randy Epps and Reverend Dwayne Whittington officiating. Family and friends will gather at 1:45 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2005 at Mountain View Baptist Church Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
