JUDY "ANGELCAKE" (CHICK) WARDWELL, of White Pine, TN went to be with the Lord on March 4, 2013. Judy was born April 13, 1943 in Rochester, NH, the daughter of the late Jackson Chick and Ruth Chick. Judy's family has always come first in her heart. She was a caring daughter, a devoted wife, an active mother, and a proud and adoring grandmother, In addition to her husband, Gordon Wardwell, she will be lovingly missed by her children, Kimberly Studebaker and her husband Bill of Parrottsville, TN, Karen Woody of Newport, TN, and Kendra Neville of Hampstead, NH; her grandchildren, Megan Woody, Amelia Studebaker and Ivy Studebaker; siblings, Patricia Boulay and her husband Ray of Lake Wales, FL, Michael Chick and wife Carol of Rochester, NH, Daniel Chick and wife Raina of Moultonborough, NH; sister-in-law, Nancy Chick of Somersworth, NH; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, David Chick of Rochester, NH. Judy grew up in Somersworth, NH and graduated from Somersworth High School, class of 1961. She received a Bachelor of Education from Plymouth State College and taught business subjects at Groveton (NH) High School. She was employed for many years as a legal secretary in Dover, Manchester, Exeter and Stratham, NH. She lived for many years in Kensington, NH and relocated with her husband Gordon to Tennessee in 2007. Her interests, besides her family, include reading, gardening, gambling, and a love of birds. Judy's family is grateful to Smoky Mountain Hospice for their care and assistance, especially Greta Riddle and Meagan McLaughlin. At her request, there will be no service. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Berwick, Maine.
