JUDY L. NANCE, age 68, of Jefferson City, TN passed away at 12:55 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2016 at her residence following a brief illness. She was of the Baptist faith, and was owner and operator of Jefferson City Florist. Preceded in death by husband, L. C. “Shorty” Nance; parents, Taylor F. and Roxie E. Cox; sisters, Josephine Cox Baker and Nancy Jane Cox; nephew, Michael Nance. She is survived by her daughters, Dinah (Charles) Wood of Jefferson City, Denise (Curtis Ellison) Copus of Talbott; step-daughter, Pamela (Leonard) Burnett; grandchildren, Charlie Carpenter, James (Nikki Burchett) Wilson, and Brandy (Austin Nettles) Thomas, Savannah Wood; great-grandchildren, Eya and Emy; brothers-in-law, Harold Nance and Jeff Nance of New Market; nephews and nieces, Noland (Lisa) Nance, Brody Nance, Jessica Nance, Justin Nance, Rebekkah Nance and Andrew Nance, all of New Market, David (Becky) Baker and Karen Baker Moss of DeLand, FL; great-niece, Susan Arimento. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Jack McCarter officiating. Family will receive friends following the service. Family and friends will gather at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at Nances Family Cemetery for a 3:00 p.m. graveside inurnment service.
