JUANITA (NITA) PARKES KAUTZ was born in Alexandria, Virginia on October 24, 1918 and passed away on March 25, 2010 at Chandler House in Jefferson City, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Kautz, Jr. Nita and Jim were married for 55 years. They joined Magna View Baptist Church in 1980. She is survived by her son, James Richard Kautz III and wife, Marie Greene, step-grandson, Tyler Turk, all of Marietta, Georgia; son, Lawrence (Larry) John Kautz of St. Petersburg, Florida; grandsons, James Kautz IV and wife, Christy; great-grandchildren, Evan, Connor and Alyssa, all of Acworth, Georgia; grandson, John Kautz and wife, Terry Kobza of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; and special friend, Barbary Brooks of Dandridge, TN. Nita had many hobbies. She and Jim raised shelties for over 20 years. Nita loved flowers and always had flowers. She enjoyed writing articles and letters. She enjoyed taking pictures, and read a great deal. Nita was active in church. She taught Sunday school from Cradle Roll to senior adults. She was church clerk and publicity chairman. Nita enjoyed singing, both solos and in the choir. A private memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, Nita preferred gifts to Magna View Church, P. O. Box 297, Talbott, Tennessee 37877.
