Joyce White

Joyce N. White, age 66 of White Pine, originally of Indiana, went home to be with her savior on August 24, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones. She was a compassionate, strong Christian lady with a servant?s heart. Joyce loved everyone unconditionally and was always ready to help others in their time of need. She was a member of Leadvale Baptist Church. Joyce retired from Jefferson Memorial Hospital after 33 years of devoted service as a Registered Nurse and advocate for her patients. Camping, traveling and spending time with family and friends were some of the things she enjoyed most. However, being a grandma was by far her favorite thing, while she had her own grandchildren, she adopted many as her own over the years. Joyce had a special way of welcoming everyone in for a meal and to become part of her family. She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Robert W. White, father, Russell Case, stepfather, Felix Belcher and daughter, JoEllen White. She is survived by her mother, Glenna Belcher, children, Melissa (Eddie) Brooks, Sandra (Russell) James, Robyn ( A.J.) Mercker and DeWayene White, grandchildren, Landan, Jericho and Slayde Brooks, Andrew (Rand) Young, Ian James, Andrew (Kate) Mercker, Kristen Mercker, Brian Hochspeier and Joey White; brother, Mike Case; nieces, Jennifer (Saechao) Case and Jackie Case; many aunts uncles, cousins, and special friends whom became family, Bob and Sandra Sellers, Jennifer Curl, Sandra Witt, Louise Dockery and Kim Shropshire. Joyce will be greatly missed by so many, but leaves behind a legacy of love. The family has requested In Lieu of Flowers Memorial Donations be made to Leadvale Baptist Church or the Cancer Foundation. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, 2:00pm at Leadvale Baptist Church with the Rev. Charlie Harkleroad and Rev. Brandon Cate officiating. Joyce will Lie in State at the church between the hours of 12:00 Noon and 2:00pm prior to the service. Graveside Interment will be held in White Pine Cemetery following the funeral service.
