Joyce Quarles Morgan

JOYCE QUARLES MORGAN, age 78, of New Market, TN passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, September 27, 2010 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. She was born October 14, 1931 to the late Brown and Nancy Quarles. She was preceded in death by her brother Dene Quarles and nephew, Howard Wayne Quarles. Joyce worked for TVA in the Hydraulic Data division at the Jefferson City office for 25 years. She was an active member of George Street United Methodist Church, where she served in various capacities of leadership spanning many years. She was devoted to her family, grandchildren, and friends. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Raymond; daughter, Ramona and her husband, Steve of Maryville; beloved grandchildren, Andrew and Katelyn; sister in law, Jenny Quarles; brothers, Laverne (Polly) Quarles, Gene (Carolyn) Quarles, Royce (Nancy) Quarles, Fred (Bobbie) Quarles; several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made the American Heart Association or Susan G. Komen for the Cure Attn: Donor Services PO Box 650309 Dallas, TX 75265-0309. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at Farrar Funeral Home, Jefferson City. A service of celebration will follow at 8:00 p.m. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Thursday at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, Jefferson City, for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service and interment.
