Joyce Nadine Barker

JOYCE NADINE BARKER, age 73, of Dandridge, TN, formerly of Rural Retreat, VA, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother who had a great love for music and enjoyed singing and playing musical instruments. She was retired from Kohler Corporation. Preceded in death by husband, Junior William Barker; parents, Ottis and Ella Newsome and sister, Doris Wyatt. She is survived by her son, Timothy William Barker of Dandridge; daughters, Linda (Kenneth) Waples of Dandridge, Peggy (David) Ruppel of Sheboygan, WI, and Lena (Richard) Landwehr of Sheboygan, WI; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two step grandchildren; sisters, Pearl Moore of Haggerstown, Maryland, Mildred Mitchem of Shrewsburg, Pennsylvania, and Betty Reardon of Ashbum, Virginia; brother, James Newsome of Vienna, Virginia. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2006 at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Jeffrey Moncier officiating. Graveside interment service will be Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat, Virginia.
