He was of the Baptist faith, a retired employee of Magnavox, and a life member of VFW 5266. Preceded in death by parents, Henry E. and Stella Berry Wolfenbarger; brothers, David Wolfenbarger and J. C. Wolfenbarger; sister, Margaret Bruner. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Wolfenbarger of New Market; sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Shirley Wolfenbarger of Jefferson City, Carl ?Gene? and Cathy Wolfenbarger of Bristol, TN; grandchildren, Tim Wolfenbarger and wife, Christie, Amy Horton and husband, Brian, Barry Wolfenbarger and Staci Wolfenbarger; great grandchildren, Brady and Connor Horton and Chesni Wolfenbarger; brothers, Glen Wolfenbarger of Knoxville and Pat Wolfenbarger of Maynardville; sisters, Marie Cox of Maynardville, Hazel Ridenor of Knoxville and Bobbie Roberts of Maryville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Harvey and Mildred Rines, who were his caregivers. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2005 at the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Rev. James Pedigo officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2005 at the funeral home to proceed to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 1:00 p.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2005 at the funeral home.
