He was a lifelong cattle farmer and member of First Baptist Church of White Pine. He served as Lieutenant in the U. S. Navy during World War II. Preceded in death by his wife, Helen A. Wigington; parents, Joseph S. and Birdie Farmer Wigington; and brothers, infant Wigington, James (Jim) and Dwight Wigington. He is survived by his son, Joseph S. (Jody) Wigington III and daughter-in-law, Renee` Hodge Wigington; granddaughters, Anna Renee` and Sara Elizabeth Wigington; grandson, Joseph S. Wigington IV; sister-in-law, Queena Rae Wigington; nephew, Michael Wigington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lois Hale, Joe and Velda Smith, Tommy and Marietta Anderson, Alma Anderson, June Anderson; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of White Pine with the Reverend Earl Wilson and Reverend Brian Osborne officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Family and friends will gather at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at Jarnigan Cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. graveside interment service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ALPS, 600 N.
