JOSEPH S. MILNER, JR., age 77, of Dandridge, TN passed away Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Jefferson Health and Rehab Center in Jefferson City. Son of the late Beulah Robbins Milner and Joseph S. Milner, Sr. and also preceded in death by his brother, John Milner and sister, Della Pruitt. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and the Korean Conflict, having participated in "Operation Castle" atomic testing at Marshall Islands. He was a member and deacon at the First Baptist Church of Dandridge for over 30 years. Member of Smoky Mountain Mineral Society and was noted for his jewelry design and stone faceting. Joe retired as an engineer from Phillips Consumer Electronics in 2000 with over 30 years of service. Survived by wife of 53 years, Judith A. Milner; children, Rena M. (Mick) Myers of Greeneville, TN, Wendy J. (Wilton) Miller of Travlers Rest, SC, Joseph M. Milner of Boaz, AL, Edman J. Milner of Sevierville, TN; grandchildren, Cami, Trey, Rebekah, Daniel and Peter Miller, Gloma and Ezra Milner. A celebration of live service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Dandridge with Dr. Robert Brown and Dr. Robert McCray officiating. Family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
