JOSEPH RAY "J.R." MCSPADDEN, age 59, of Dandridge, TN went to be with the Lord suddenly on Saturday, October 29, 2005. He devoted his life to being a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of Green Hill Baptist church, member of UKC and National Redbone Coonhound Association. He was a dedicated employee of McSpadden, Inc. for 29 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Ramon McSpadden; mother, Eulah Ellison McSpadden; brother, Frank Wilburn McSpadden; sister-in-law, Wanda Helton McSpadden. Survived by his wife of 41 years, Phyllis Stinnett McSpadden; daughter and son in law, Ramona and Jimmy Golden; grandchildren, Joseph Golden and Lundsey Golden; step-grandchildren, Brittney Golden and Amber Golden; brothers, Kenneth McSpadden of Alcoa; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Marsha McSpadden; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marjorie and Don Shaw, Evelyn and Danny Newman, all of Dandridge; special nieces and nephews and all his coon hunting buddies. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005 at Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Pastor Jeff Foster officiating. Special nephews, David Shaw, Daniel Newman, Jr., Chuck McSpadden, Scott McSpadden, Russell Newman, and Travis Trentham will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Eddler, Josh Trentham and Cody Loveday. Family and friends will meet at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 3005 at the funeral home to proceed to Dandridge Memorial Gardens for an 11 a.m. graveside interment service.
