Joseph C. Foister

JOSEPH C. FOISTER, JR., age 77, of Jefferson City, TN passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Serenity House in Morristown with his wife by his side. He was a member of Community Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, and retired from Jefferson City Fire Department with 25 years of service. Preceded in death by daughter, Elisa Simerly; parents, Clarence “Dink” and Margaret Foister; sister, Betty Jo Howell; brother, Carl Foister. He is survived by his wife, Diane Foister; sons, Joseph C. Foister III, William Thomas Lee Foister; grandchildren, Kevin, Brandi, Jada, Alex, Tyler and Makena; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Murlin Foister, Stephen Foister; sisters, Elizabeth Sinard, Deborah Miller; several nieces and nephews; and a special mention of Tonda Slusarski. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Caldwell and Rev. Chris Howell officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at Jefferson Memorial Gardens at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday morning for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
