Johnny William Southerland

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved husband, Johnny William Southerland, of Talbott, TN on February 29, 2024 at the age of 77.  He was a graduate of Morristown High School and Carson Newman College. He served in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. He retired from Berkline Corporation after thirty-five years of employment.  He is preceded in death by his parents, W. A. (Bud) and Ruth Jordan Southerland; infant sister; step-daughter, Donna Helton Wilder and her husband, Michall; along with numerous other family members and friends. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Jane Bell Southerland; brother and sister-in-law, Bob R. and Sue Southerland of Greeneville, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Don Wiseman of Birmingham, AL; daughter and grandson, Christi and Gannon Southerland of Morristown. In order to fulfill Johnny’s wishes, no formal visitation will be held. Family and friends will meet at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2024 for a brief memorial service before proceeding to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 2:00 p.m. graveside service conducted be Rev. Darrell Chambers.
