Johnny A. Henry, 79, of Dandridge, TN passed away Tuesday June 20th at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center after a battle with pneumonia. After graduating from Holtville High School, Johnny joined the U. S. Navy. After the Navy, Johnny was a photographer for the Montgomery Advertiser until he started his own business. Johnny married his high school sweetheart, Linda in 1958. Johnny and Linda moved to East Tennessee 34 years ago and has called it home since. Johnny was a member of Alpha Baptist Church in Morristown. He worked at the Smoky Mountain Knifeworks in the Relic Room for many years and loved his Smoky family. Johnny is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Linda, his children Mike (Jenny) Henry of Millbrook, AL, David (Sherri) Henry of Millbrook, AL, DeeDee (Brad) Canfield of Crossville, TN, and Penny Bordon of Knoxville, TN. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Johnny is preceded in death by his parents Mr. & Mrs. J. D. Henry, his grandson Matthew Henry, and his son-in-law K. T. Bordon. The service will be held at the Jefferson County Nursing Home in Dandridge, TN on Thursday June 22, 2017 at 7:00 PM.
