Johnny Ray Foster

Johnny Ray Foster, age 67 of New Market, passed away peacefully at his home; surrounded by family, on Thursday, January 30, 2025.

In 2010 retired from a 30+ year career at National Cash Register; and had worked as a jack of all trades in the years since. He enjoyed tinkering on cars; working on vacuum cleaners, and generally keeping busy. He will be remembered as a great husband, a loving father and grandfather; as well as a loyal friend.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra Morgan Foster, Johnny never took off his wedding ring. His family now takes comfort in knowing the two are together again in eternity. He was also preceded in death by his parents, J.W. & Helen Nichols Foster; daughter, April; and several siblings. He is survived by his children Amanda Jackson & Logan (Kristi) Russell; grandchildren, Sandra, Navaeha, Kenny, Gabby, & Alyssa; brother, Ronnie; and several extended family members and friends.

Per his wishes, John was cremated and will be laid to rest privately in the Cate Cemetery.
