John Luther Walker Sr.

John L. Walker Sr., age 65 of Dandridge passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022 after a long lingering illness.

He was retired from Clayton Homes after 26 years as a traveling maintenance technician.

John is preceded in death by his parents, James “Pete” and Joyce Newman Walker; sister in-law, Brenda Walker; nephew, Jay Howard Walker; and special aunt and uncle, Gene and Mary Haynes.

He is survived by his wife, June Walker; son, John Walker Jr.; daughter, Jennifer Dawn Diaz; grandson, William Diaz; brothers, J.Ray Walker and Jackie Walker; sister, Joy Ireson; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home Dandridge. Graveside Service will be Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 11:00am at French Broad Brethren Cemetery with Dr. Sonny Strange officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations be made to the funeral home for help with expenses.
