John A. Sims

JOHN A. SIMS, age 49, of Dandridge, TN passed away at his home on Sunday, October 12, 2014. He was a member of Deep Springs Baptist Church. He was a lover of bluegrass music and the outdoors. Also, he was a loving father, husband, son, brother and pap-paw. He is preceded in death by his father, Carl Sims, and brother, Russell Timothy Sims. Survived by his wife of 27 years, Jenny Moore Sims; children, Elizabeth Suzanne Holsted (Alex), John Hunter Sims; granddaughter, Eden Isabella Holsted; mother, Martha Raye Sims; several nieces and other family members. Special thank you to Smoky Mountain Hospice for the excellent care given to John. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Deep Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Chambers officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Family will meet at 10:00 a.m. Thursday morning at the funeral home to proceed to Fain Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
