JOHN LLOYD RODEFFER, age 90, of Dandridge, TN passed away Monday, November 22, 2010. He was born and raised in Dandridge, the son of the late Arnold Ross and Myrtle Molly Alley. John was a lifelong member of the French Broad Church of the Brethren and during his early years he worked on the dike that saved Dandridge and later worked in Oak Ridge, the TVA & I Fair and retired after 33 years from National Linen Service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha ?Mickey? Hill Rodeffer; infant son, John Rodeffer, Jr.; sisters, Pearl Rodeffer and Lois Rodeffer; and brother, James Rodeffer. He is survived by his daughters, Sonja R. McNeely of Knoxville, TN, Teresa Rodeffer of Decatur, TN, and Karen R. (Steven) Evans of Evanston, WY; son, Sam (Wendy) Rodeffer of Dandridge, TN; grandchildren, Cassandra (Keith) Vance, Adam, John, and Paige Evans, Wesley, Heather, and Rachel Rodeffer; sisters, Thelma R. Berrier and Dorothy R. (Wayne) Huskey; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2010, 11:00am at the French Broad Church of the Brethren with Rev. Ron Wine and Rev. Ron Spire officiating. Interment to follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge.
