John "Rusty" Phillips

JOHN ?RUSTY? PHILLIPS, age 62, of Bean Station, TN passed away at 2:20 a.m. Monday, January 10, 2011 at his home following an extended illness. A member of Oakland Baptist Church, he was retired from the United States Air Force with 20 years of service. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Lois Phillips. He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Kim Cameron Phillips; daughter, Faith Phillips of Michigan; son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Mandy Phillips of Jefferson City; grandsons, Kyle and Tylor Phillips; special pet, his dog Sassy. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Farrar Funeral Home with Rev. Stacey Lawson and Chaplain Garland Long officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 1:45 p.m. Thursday at Oakland Cemetery for 2:00 p.m. graveside interment service with military honors.
