JOHN WILLIAM MURPH, age 50, of Jefferson City, TN passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011. Member of First Baptist Church of Jefferson City, graduate of Carson-Newman College and employee of Klote International, Inc. Previously served as an engineer at Shelby Williams. Preceded in death by father, Bobby Murph; grandparents, John William Byrd, George and Ethel Murph; father-in-law, Luther Oakes; aunt, Geraldine Murph. Survived by wife, Deborah Murph; children, Lauren and Johnathan Murph; brother, Eric (Pam) Murph; mother, Barbara Murph; grandmother, Dora Byrd; sister-in-law, Denna (Hal) Stroud; brother-in-law, Nick (Susie) Oakes; mother-in-law, Marie Oakes; nieces, Caitlin Stroud, Marina Oakes, Lindsey and Abby Emmert; nephews, Benjamin Murph and Will Oakes; aunt, Carolyn (Marshall) Biddix; uncles, Billy Byrd, Lewis Murph and Doug Murph; numerous cousins and many loyal friends. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2011 at Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Dr. Gene Wilder officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Family and friends will gather Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at Farrar Funeral Home to proceed to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
