John Edward Kerr

JOHN EDWARD KERR, age 76, of Jefferson City, TN, passed away Thursday , August 27, 2015 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital. A longtime resident of Jefferson City, John, a Tennessee licensed surveyor, owned Kerr Surveying Business for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Juanita Kerr; sisters, June Kerr, Mildred Rogers, Elizabeth Moody, Edith Kerr; brother, Kenneth Kerr; as well as twins, Jack and Jill Kerr. Those left to remember John is his loving wife of 56 years, Margarette (Jackie) Kerr; son, Johnny (Stephanie) Kerr of Jefferson City, Pam (Charley) Hutton, and Lisa (Randy) Casper, all of Salisbury, NC; grandsons, Tyler (Courtney) Grubb of Morresville, NC, Jordan (Whitney) Grubb of Salisbury, NC, Ross Kerr of Jefferson City, John and Charles Hutton of Salisbury, NC, who lovingly took their “papaw” out for his daily stroll through his neighborhood. Siblings left to remember their brother is Mary-Jean Jones of Jefferson City, Peggy Gordan of Sevierville, TN, Carolyn (Bob) Wojnar of Hamburg, NY, Tommy Kerr of Sefner, FL; many nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as the many friends he made over the years. Family will receive friends Saturday, August 29, 2015 from 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. following the visitation, with the graveside interment service to follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
