John "Johnny" H. Owens

JOHN H. OWENS, JR. (Johnny), age 49, of Dandridge, TN passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 at his home. He was a beloved son, brother and father who loved his children and grandchildren and will be remembered as “Little Papaw”. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Henry and Dorothy Owens; sister, Melissa Owens. He is survived by his children, Derik Owens of Newport, Carie and Derek Tabor of White Pine; parents, John and Glenda Owens; grandchildren, Alyssa and Mason Tabor, Izik and Kyliee Owens; brothers, Billy Owens and Timothy Owens; sister, Sharon Phillips; step-grandparents, Pearl and Sam Emert. Funeral services, Wednesday, April 2, 2014, 7:00pm at the First Baptist Church of White Pine with Rev. Brian Osborne and Rev. Ron Carroll officiating. Interment graveside services Thursday, 11:00am at Swanns Chapel Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday evening 5:00 to 7:00pm prior to services at the church.
