John Britton Galloway

JOHN BRITTON GALLOWAY, age 67 of Dandridge, TN passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2003 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. He worked in water filtration at the Lezing Corp. for 41 years and at the time of his death was the owner and operator of Dandridge West End Storage. John was an active member of Big Spring Baptist Church in Chestnut Hill. His passion for serving Christ was apparent to all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, S. T. and Abigail Galloway. He is survived by his wife, Irene McGaha Galloway of Dandridge; son, David Galloway of Dandridge; grandchildren, Chelsea and Mandy Galloway of Morristown; sisters, Gail Froburh of Waco, Texas and Bonnie Jones of Huntsville, Alabama; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2003 from the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Dandridge with Rev. Jerry Colbert officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, August 16, 2003 at Proffit Cemetery for an 11 a.m. graveside interment service.
