JOHN W. ELLISON, age 65, of Jefferson City, TN passed away at his home on Monday, July 12, 2010. He attended the University of Tennessee Engineering. He retired from Arrow Automotive Industries and was owner of JWE Auto and also Horsepower Stables. He was co-owner with Mike Chambers of Classy Motors. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy in the Vietnam Era, a member of Leadvale Lodge # 390 F & AM, Knoxville Scottish Rite Bodies, Jefferson County Shrine Club/Kerbela Temple, and a member of Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders and Exhibitors Association. Preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ruth Cate Ellison; and daughter, Kimberly Salazar. He is survived by his wife, Marie Ledbetter Ellison; sons, Johnny (Elyssa) Ellison of Warner Robbins, GA, Randy (Wendy) Baxter of Dandridge, TN; daughter, Stacey (Rodney) Sexton of Talbott, TN; grandchildren, Savannah, Andrew and Sara Elizabeth Ellison, Victoria, Parker, Bobby and Michael Salazar, Christopher (Candace) Miller, Amber (Jeremy) Gass, Ashley (Eric) Dance, Brooke and Lauren Loy; great-grandchildren, Harley, Dylon and Kaylee; son-in-law, Mike Salazar; father-in-law, Paul Ledbetter; aunt, Carrie Lou Estes; brothers-in-law, Roy and Larry Ledbetter. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Rev. Johnny Ellison officiating and Masonic Service to follow the funeral service. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. Thursday morning at Pleasant Grove Piney Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
