John G Deering

John G. Deering, age 87 of White Pine, passed away at his home. He was an Army Veteran and served in the Korean War, John was a dedicated life-long member of Beth-Car United Methodist Church. John is preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Anna Fowler Deering, sisters, Fern Bible and Marjorie White and brothers George, Gene, and Ben Deering. He is survived by his sister, Betty (Doyle) Alexander and sister-in-law Clara Deering, his caregivers Michael and Lisa Alexander and several other nieces, nephews, family members and special friends. A special thank you to Christy Williams and Amedisys Hospice Care. The family has requested that In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Beth-Car United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 597, White Pine, TN 37890 or Quilt of Valor for Veterans of Jefferson County. A Military Graveside Interment Service will be held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, 11:00am in White Pine Cemetery with the Rev. Darrell Chambers and VFW Post 5266 officiating. Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine between the hours of 1:00pm and 6:00pm.
