Joe C. Raines

JOE C. RAINES, age 77, of White Pine, TN went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at his home. He was very proud of his 50 plus years he spent in the transportation industry, where he worked for Roadway, Old Dominion and as an owner/operator. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Raines; mother, Rebecca Raines; sisters, Judith McFalls and Lou Souther; brother, Jack Raines; and son, Mike Williams. Joe is survived by his wife, Janice Correll Raines; son, Jody Raines; daughters, Melody (David) Rivers, Carmen (Wayne) Parker; son, Mark (Pam) Williams; grandchildren, Lakiea (David) Chapman, Acoya (Jared) Lamb, Bronson Parker, Brittney Parker and LaShanda Williams; great-grandchildren, Kobe, Kade and Kip Parker, Braxton and Kiya Lamb; sisters, Bertie Sue Loveday, Margaret Bryant, Edna Robaugh and Vickie Stokley; brother, Buck Raines; several nieces, nephews and other family members; and special nephew, Teddy Correll. A memorial service for Joe will be on Sunday, April 25, 2010 in the chapel of Farrar Funeral Home in White Pine at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Brian Osborne officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. prior to the service. Graveside entombment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Dandridge. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the building fund of First Baptist Church of White Pine.
