Joe Allen Purkey

JOE ALLEN PURKEY, born August 23, 1949, age 54, of Jefferson City, TN passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2003. He was preceded in death by his father, John Jake Purkey and sister, Linda Purkey Moody. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Purkey of Jefferson City; brothers, Johnny Purkey of New Market and Lawrence Purkey and wife, Gail, of New Market; sister, Connie Golden and husband, Wayne, of Newport; four nephews and three nieces; one great nephew and one great niece; and several aunts and uncles. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 31, 2003 at Farrar Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Coy Warren, Reverend Lester Byrd and Reverend J. C. Morgan officiating. Friends and family will meet at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2003 at the funeral home to proceed to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday prior to the services at the funeral home.
