JOE EARL POLLARD, age 86, of Talbott, TN passed away at St. Mary?s Medical Center on Tuesday, February 24, 2009. He was a member of Talbott Baptist Church and was a retiree of New Jersey Zinc Mines of Jefferson City. Preceded in death by loving wife of 69 years, Hazel; parents, Joe and Cordie Pollard; brothers, Tommy and William Pollard; sister, Vallie Moore. Survived by daughter, Linda Pollard, of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Doc Hopkins, Margaret and Ralph Hodge, Jean and Hugh Lamb; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2009 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Scott Cline and Reverend Jerry Utsman officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Friday morning at the funeral home to proceed to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
