Joann T. Silver

JOANN T. SILVER, age 77, of Jefferson City, TN passed away at 10:40 a.m. Friday, May 10, 2013 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital following a lingering illness. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by parents, Coy and Sallie Trent; beloved son, Richard Beckner; and stepson, Steve Silver; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rufus and Lorene Minor, Herschel and Jewel Minor; sister, Berdene Crews; brother-in-law, Otis Ayers, Jay Brooks, Hugh Cate, William C. Silver and Wayne M. Silver. She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Neal Y. Silver (Cowboy); son, David Beckner; sisters, Willa Jean Ayers and Madge Brooks; brother, Coy Lynn (Helen) Trent, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Drama (Del) Robeson, Betty (W.B.) Watkins, Clara Cate, Jessie Silver, Wanda Silver; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Rev. Mel Hawkins officiating. Receiving of friends will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday morning at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 1:00 p.m. graveside interment service.
