Joann Newman

JOANN NEWMAN,age 68, of Dandridge, TN went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice following a long battle with cancer. She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Dandridge. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Lillie Eslinger; sisters, Louise Skeen, Madge Acuff, Midge Henry and Juanita Jones. She is survived by her husband, J. D. Newman; daughters, Kathy Jackson of Nashville and Jennifer Hughes of Dandridge; three granddaughters, Amanda, Kayla and Savanna; one great-granddaughter, Lexie; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Dandridge with Rev. John Thompson, Rev. Tommy Lindsey and Rev. Rick Hollifield officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the church prior to services. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Mt.
