Joann Eldridge Cody, age 87 passed away at Greystone Health Care Center in Blountville on October 5, 2023. She is preceded in death by her husbands, James Cody and Galen Rothert, parents, JR and Josie Arlene Fain Eldridge and grandson, Jonathan Rothert. She is survived by her children, Bobby Ray Cody, Ronald Gene Cody, Debra (Robert Knox) Cody and John David (Carmen) Rothert, grandchildren, Anthony "Tony" Cody, Jennifer Cody, Jason (Danielle) Archer, Ronald "Ronnie" Cody, Rachel (Jacob) Pfister, Brian (Krista) Archer, Alicia (Terry) Piotrowski, Emily Rothert, Riley Rothert and Shea Rothert, great-grandchildren, Kayla Williamson, Alison Cody, Kenny Douglas, Iman Douglas, Amaya Pfister, Eris, Pfister, Adrian Cody Jones, Jase Archer, Leilani Archer, Cameron Archer, Gavin, Conner, Owen, Nyella Piotrowski and Noelle Piotrowski, great-great-grandchildren, Jackson, Kelsey, Naomi, Harley Jr, Brentley and Jonathan Jr.

Graveside Interment will be on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, 11:00am in French Broad Brethren Cemetery, with Rev. Brian Osborne officiating.
