Jimmie Case, Jr.,age 36, of New Market, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at 11:45 p.m. on Sunday, June 29, 2003 at St. Mary?s Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee from complications of an aneurysm. He was a faithful member of Eastmore Church of God where he had been very active in the church music department. Jimmie was an avid musician, an accomplished pianist, and enjoyed singing for God. He was an inspiration to all who knew him and he is now resting in peace. Jimmie was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth Case.
He is survived by his loving parents, Jim and Ethel Case of New Market; sister, Amy Gilliam of Jefferson City; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Carla Case of New Market; paternal grandfather, Paul Case of New Market; maternal grandparents, Charlie and Margaret Devotie of Jefferson City; nephew, Joshua Gilliam; nieces, Whitney and Jessica Gilliam; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, July 1, 2003 from the Mt. Vale Church of God in Talbott with Reverend Buddy Sweet, Reverend Cecil Bucy, and Reverend Billy Baker officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, July 2, 2003 at the funeral home and proceed to Hills Union Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. interment service with Reverend Paul Devotie and Reverend Joe Devotie officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Mt. Vale Church of God prior to the funeral service.
