Jewell Harrison Curry

JEWELL HARRISON CURRY, age 87, of Dandridge, TN passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016. She was a devoted member of Wesley’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Dandridge, TN. She was retired from Carson Newman University, where she worked as an administrative assistant for many years, and from McFarland and Gann, PC, where she worked after retiring from Carson Newman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce C. Curry, Jr., her dad and mom, Emmet and Myrtle Harrison, and brother, Roger Harrison. She is survived by her daughters, Terry Gann Burks (Lester), and Sherry C. Seay (Creed); grandchildren, Benjamin S. Hammer (Ashley), Daniel B. Hammer (Brittany), Jenni Gann Griffin (Alan); step-grandchildren, Chris Seay and Carrie Cox; great-grandchildren, Maggie and Tripp Griffin, Ezekiel and Emery Hammer, Kylee Williams, and Channing and Brantley Hammer. She is also survived by her dear sister-in-law, Carolyn Curry Bellamy. Funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Farrar Funeral Home in Jefferson City with Rev. Michael Feely officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. on Friday morning at Hillcrest Cemetery in Dandridge for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service with Max Frye officiating.
