He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his parents, Jesse A. and Ada Greenwood Green; brothers, Claude and wife, Cora Green, with whom he made his home for several years, Ernest and wife, Rebecca Green; sister, Mollie Riner; several half brothers and sisters. He is survived by his brother-in-law, Maynard (Dock) Riner of White Pine; nieces, Irene (Robert) Courtney of Morristown, Ann (Lon) Sinara of White Pine; nephews, Alton (Joan) Green of Jefferson City, Jerry (Sandra) Green of Morristown, Roger (Susan) Green of Morristown, Glenn (Helen) Holt of Lake Station, Indiana; several great nieces and nephews; special friends in the activity department of Life Care of Jefferson City and many special caregivers at Life Care of Jefferson City. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2006 from the Farrar Jefferson City Chapel with Reverend Randy Epps and Reverend Robbie Drinnon officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2006 to proceed to Mountain View Cemetery for a 2:00 p.m. graveside interment service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
