Jesse W. "Dub" Phillips

JESSE W. "DUB" PHILLIPS, age 62, of Jefferson City, TN passed away Saturday morning, October 8, 2011. He was the son of the late Robert and Dorothy Scott Phillips and was also preceded in death by his brother, J. C. Phillips. Jesse was a caring and loving man who truly loved his life, family, and friends and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He believed in living life to its fullest. He was a 24 year survivor of being a heart transplant recipient and encourages all to donate so that others may continue to enjoy life as he did. He was a member of the Swann's Chapel Baptist Church. Survived by wife, Sharon Owens Phillips; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Tim Adams; son and daughter-in-law, Preston and Samantha Phillips; step-children, DeWayne (Brandy) England,Heather (Daniel)Hale and Tiffany (Jonathan) Myers; grandchildren, Brant Adams, Cordell, Cameron and Michael Phillips, Savannah Wood, Zander Hale, Keira, Mikaelia and Tanner England, and Carter Myers; sisters and brothers, Carolyn Gunter, Bobby Phillips, Roger Phillips, Ann and Daniel Holt, Evelyn and Steve Renner, Ronnie and Cathy Phillips, Danny and Sandy Phillips, Debbie and Ron Holt, Susan and Bobby Ramsey, Chris and Mike Tucker. Funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2011 at the Farrar Dandridge Chapel with Rev. Mike Dunn officiating. Graveside interment service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Swannsylvania Cemetery. Family will receive firends Monday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. prior to the service.
