Jerry L. Utsman

REV. JERRY L. UTSMAN, age 65, of Talbott, TN went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center following an extended illness. He was the pastor of Talbott Baptist Church for over twenty years. He was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, having served in the U. S. Army. Preceded in death by his parents, Beverly and Hattie Mae Utsman; nephew, Robert Harrell. Survived by loving wife of 44 years, Carole Utsman; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Dwayne Shisler of Talbott; son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Amy Utsman of Greeneville, TN; grandsons, Wesley Shisler and Will Utsman; granddaughter, Allison Utsman; brother, Robert B. (Rochelle) Utsman of Charlotte, NC; sister, Patricia (Jim) Harrell of Johnson City, TN; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Talbott Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Hughes, Rev. Charles ?Toonie? Cash and Brock Henry officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Family and friends will gather at 10:45 a.m. on Monday at Jefferson Memorial Gardens for an 11:00 a.m. graveside interment service.
